Lecture was off so I was quietly seated in class not knowing wot to do. A girl approachd me, who too, was sitting alone n said hi and started talking in a friendly manner. It was really nice coz at times it gets pretty borin n kinda lonely in college being a foreigner with no-one 2 talk to.
Anyway. Interesting conversation.

Me: (Smiles and says my name)
She: You r not from here, are u?
Me: Nop, I’m from The Maldives! (proudly)
She: Oooh Maldives! How is it lyk?
Me: Its nyc…Tropical climate! Never cold lyk this! *larfs*
She: And…?
Me: And, its really beautiful! Wonderful tourist destination! Friendly people! Peaceful qiuet environment! White sandy beaches, crystal clear water bla bla blah (and continues with the promotional stunt for Tourism Promo Board ..:P)
She: Ohkey…dats nice!
Me: Yea! Its great! You should come visit oneday *dhaiypila sale*
She: Sure! Oke so…tell me! What kind of of government do u have there..?
Me: Umm…De.mor.cra..cy…??!
She: A democracy?
Me: I ..guess … *not dhaiypila sale anymore*
She: Who is your PM?
Me: We dun have any!
She: Who is your president? *really interested*
Me: (wondering why on earth she sooo interested in all this) Umm..Maumoon Abdul Gayyoom..
She: *tryin damn hard to pronounce his name, but fails* So..whoever he is…Is it true dat this guy has been the president for almost 30 years?!
Me: (thinkin, wot da...!!!) …yea…. *sheepish smile*
She: OMG! How is that possible? And I heard your system is soo corrupt!! How could anyone have that much authority??! 30 yrs, My God!!! *eye roll*
Me: Yea….. But hey, guess what?! The elections are up! Maybe we’ll c a better change! *million dollar smile*
She: Nah, I dun think so! I think this time too this Maumoon guy will steal the show! Either he’s too damn smart or the civilians dun really care!
Me: Oh..key… *feeling reaaaalllllllly small by then*
She: Ok Bye! Nice talking! Ur country is beautiful! Lemme know wot happns with Maumoon guy! *and off she goes*

N there I was, happily thinking dat for d rest of the world, Maldives was The Ideal Paradise on earth where everything was perfect.

well now Maldives is more popular because of that he is the Asia's Number one Authoritative Leader. Well there are other presidents and leaders which ruled but most of them new to get off from the seat when it was time but this person forgot how to get off i also do support him he has done lot good here too but we need a change want to see a difference if no other person can be great than him every one will respect him.....
